You have seen them on TV, in Magazines, on your friends…but why haven’t you taken that next step, getting feather extensions installed? They add a splash of color to your hair, and even dress it up when you haven’t done a thing to it.
This photo above shows some of the first feather extensions placed in the hair, but the trend has taken on a new life. All bird feathers that can be washed, blow dried, flat ironed and curled are getting inserted, in mixed sets. They are now being mixed with several other rooster/hen feathers for an even wilder style. They are getting added into your bangs and even getting mixed with color as seen below.
Fishermen are up in arms! Did you know that rooster/hen feathers have been used for decades? They have been used by fishermen to make fancy, colorful fishing lures to attract big fish, and they, the fishing industry, are extremely upset that the Fashion Industry has taken a fancy to them. The wholesale cost of each feather has risen from $0.50 to $4.00 per feather! Its outrageous, but demand is pushing the price up steadily, every day. Even ShopDevious.com ‘s wholesale feather supplier is back logged with all the new orders. Some wholesalers have taken up dying their own feathers again, to keep up with the demand of the colorful varieties. One Manager I spoke with said they haven’t dyed their feathers in years, and hopes their new batch will take the color, so they can supply the demand too!
The feathers I currently sell come from roosters/hens/emu and are from licensed feather wholesalers that operate inside of the United States. I have several feather extensions attached to my own head, but I want more!!! We sell the tools, the micro links, the looper and the feather extensions wholesale in Phoenix, Arizona. Due to the popularity of the wholesale feather extension kits, they are not available online. For orders outside Arizona please call us at 602 330 5794 and we can place your order via phone.
